Well, I don't see why there's so much hate between Islam and Christianity. The two religions are very, very close and basically believe in the same god. Some people were talking about Jesus' teachings. The Testament is made up of books that were written hundreds of years after Jesus died. There's no telling how much of it can be true. In the same way, Islam is teaching a lot of intolerance because people are twisting the religion.
We have coexisted peacefully before. Why can't we now? We mostly coexist with tolerance in America, except for a few extremists that preach hate. Both religions are about peace and loving others. By creating this hatred, ALL of you are going against the teachings of your religions. How ironic.
You believe in what you believe in -it's your choice. Don't force your religion on others. Also, a lot of things that were acceptable back then are unacceptable now. By touching on those subjects, we're only bringing up old things that don't need to be brought up. Just as Muslims are being extreme now, Christians pretty much destroyed the *entire* world. Why do you think Africa, South America, and Asia are in complete ruins as of now, economically, politcally, and socially? It's because Christians thought it was their duty to go around spreading their religion. In fact, that's just a ploy. They wanted world power. The same way Muslims are going around terrorizing others when it was clearly wrong. I hope you guys stop this silly fighting. It's stupid.

God didn't just send down Islam as a way of life. Islam happens to be the latest and the greatest. There are basically three divine religions..all the rest are philosophical (all the eastern religions...indo-china....are philosophical). Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.
Consider this, you've got a 2007 Benz, but the guy next door drives a 2000 BMW, and the guy next to that is driving a 1999 Audi. They're all great cars (religions), all from the same country (God), but it's the Benz that will perform the best for the driver.
That doesn't mean it's not okay for the BMW and Audi drivers to be driving their cars, as long as they recognize that the Benz is in fact the better car.

Question. Do you believe the koran is an addition and a corection on the bible? If that is the case (and most islams do I believe) then do you believe in a almighty God?
I mean this, If man could stand up to God and change his truth in a way its no longer the truth, then man must be more powerfull then God. And God can not be almighty.
And if he just gave the truth knowing it would be changed then what is the use giving it at all?
If God is almighty then it doesnt make any difference if he gave it to monkeys or humans. He will be able to give it and keep it the truth for all generations to follow. And there would be no use in changing or adding to it. (unless you believe God was not able to keep the truth from being messed up) Also not by a later corrected revelation as mohamed seem to have gotten.

I was a Muslim for five years. I was reading the Sunnah, and read an account of how a woman came to Muhammad and confessed that she had committed adultery. Three times he covered his ears, three times she repeated it -- and then he ordered her to be stoned. I immediately thought of the story about Jesus and the woman taken in adultery (John 8:3-11), and knew then and there that Jesus' teaching was higher. That was when I decided to become a Christian.
If Muhammad was the final prophet, with a message superceding Jesus' message, why is the message of the Qur'an so far from Jesus' teaching of mercy, forgiveness, and universal love? Read the Sermon on the Mount, Matthew 5-7. In your heart of hearts, you will *know* that this is the highest teaching human beings have ever received. I love the beauty of Muslim piety, I love the Muslim mystics, Muslims were the most hospitable people I have ever met -- but Jesus' teaching is higher.

I'm a Muslim and I'm proud.
Christians know about Islam from media, and from Muslims that are not practicing Islam the right way.
I'm sure if Christians study Islam (the right way) they will definately convert to Islam, just like i did.

I can follow your religion from Genesis through Zachariah. That is as far as I go. The thing is that I believe Jesus is the Son of the Most high Father. You do not. I am covered through his grace for my sins. I must confess them, believe he is the Son of the Most high Father and he will forgive me. I do not believe that I am entitled to how many ever virgins or whatever. If I make it through the door to heaven I will be so thrilled. I don't want to make it to Hell. That is the difference. I do not believe you should turn your back on your culture if you don't want to. Far be it from me to force you. I am sorry that all can not see this is The Most High Father and creator of all. With all of the bickering going on between man made religions atheists are abounding. Think about that. If this keeps up the day will come when no religion will be allowed. Please as an American Christian to you, we must stop this.

I am glad that you are a Muslim, that means you truly belive that there is only one God, indivisible, unmodifiable, unchanging, and absolutely one God.
Too bad that the Christian folks believe in that Trinity stuff. Think about it. If the Father and Jesus are the same and Jesus is God, then what happend when the Father sacrificed Jesus? Did he kill himself? Did God kill himself? After all God is one, right. And why does God have to be a three-part God. Can't he do his business while being a single God? The bible does not say that God is three. If Jesus says "My Father and I are one" that means they are one in purpose. Not one in substance. If I say "today we Americans stand as one against our enemies" that does not mean there is only one person. We are united, that's what it means.
The problem is that Trinity, at best, can only be explained in a methoogical and metaphorical way. That's why Christians find meanings in the Bible that don't exist so as to defend this paganistic view of gods.

I have a question for you, since you did not write one. Why is Islam the right choice over all of the other religions in the world? How do you know your beliefs are true? Can you prove them?

I am a Christian, although my beliefs are different form yours, I have respect for all Muslims and all people all over that world. It is our belief in Jesus Christ who taught us to "Love all others as much as we love ourselves"
"Many have heard that it was said, 'Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.' But I tell you, Do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. And if someone wants steal your tunic, let him have your cloak as well. If someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles. Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who needs from you. You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He who causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love only those who love you, where is the reward in that?" - Matthew 5:38-46
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God." - John 3: 16-21
This in a nutshell is what Christianity is all about.
I just wish that more Muslims would have respect for Christians. Centuries and Years ago many evil things where done in the name of Christianity. But for those who truly believe in Christ must take to heart Matthew 5:38-46 and live by that, because if they don't then they are not a follower of Christ and all that he taught. Now it seems today, "that the shoe is on the other foot". Some Muslims are committing evil in the name of Islam. I ask, "Do two wrongs, make a right?" Some Muslims want people to "Join Islam or die" Where is respect and love for others in that? Why would someone want to join any religion that advocates and applauds violence? I guess I would have to die, beacuse I cannot join any religion that does not love their fellow man.

From my understanding, the major difference between Christianity, and Islam, is that Muslims believe they can save themselves where Christians believe we need a Savior, which is Jesus Christ.
