I am 5'6" & I stayed at 130lbs for along time then I got depressed & got fat. I read that the average for that height is anywhere from 120-150lbs.

Stop looking at the scale and start looking at your body-fat percentage.

Most serious athletes are in the "obese" range of the United State Federal government's recommended body weights.

The scale tell you nothing about your health.

A health female should have a body-fat percentage in the range of 20%-30%. A women with 18% body fat would have a lean 6-pack.

A health male should have a body-fat percentage in the range of 12-18%. A man with 10% body fat would have a 6-pack.

These number are estimates because everyone varies a little bit. But the above listed number are very close.

120 is just about normal. If you are more than 30, 130 is fine. But the weight must be muscle not fat. Exercise is important.
