Is being in negatively charged air a good remedy for depression?

Air near a waterfall,,for instance is chock full of negatively charged air.

I'm not aware of this effect .But I know that if you feel depressed and someone hugs you , you will feel a charge. Well at least this is my observation. When depressed you feel negative and like a run down battery. When your skin comes in contact with a positive charge , then you feel a slight jolt. But is it enough to make you feel better ? sometimes it can be . I call it the electric life philosophy. We all have a small amount of charge , just like a battery , when we feel depressed our body gets unbalanced and there needs to be a cure . Positive energy induced by a simple hug . Well I do not know if a waterfall with negatively charged air would make you feel better. But for extreme depression they do give shock treatments , So electricity even small amounts can change how you feel.

Apparently there have been studies that indicate that negative ions do improve the mood more than positive ions... Do I believe it? I dunno... I haven't experienced the difference... I think good old fashioned therapy to learn coping skills and understand what is causing the depression is probably going to last longer than worrying about if you're in a negative ion charged place.

Seems to me, sites like the one I've listed are feeding you bullshit to get you to buy their product.
