Yes...higher crime rates is a big problem here in AZ. Last week the border patrol captured 5 illegals crossing the AZ desert and each of them had with them 20 Lbs of pot. They were arrested along with a woman in her late 40's who was living in the city. Depressed wages, I happened to catch Lou Dobbs last night and he reported that wages in America have fallen for the last five years straight.

Well funny I live on the border and we have no such problems. In fact, our city was rated on of the safest cities in the country. Our sister city which is about 20 miles from here was rated the 10th safest city in the country, not to mention one of the best places to retire. So your argument about higher crime rates and burdens on public system is flawed. I love my city, I can go out for a walk at night and not worry about illegals hurting me.
I see illegals working construction, lawn work, roofing. I see many building million dollar homes, these contractors are laughing at you all the way to the bank. Illegals don't bother anyone and keep a low profile. The border patrol and INS are well aware of this but do nothing, who's to blame?

I live fairly close to the Texas/Mexico border. Illegal immigration is a major problem here. Our crime rates are high (the gang population is horrible), they do burden the medical, school, and welfare systems, and are very frustrating as some of them refuse to learn to speak this country's native tongue. I worked in customer service years ago and actually got cussed out in spanish (several people translated for me) because I didn't know how to speak spanish fluently!

Same here, the worst problem are the drug dealers.
Most of them come from Africa, claim to be here for political reasons or to study, but they are hired to deal with drugs, esp. caine.
If caught by the police they are back on the street next day and if caught again they try and move to another city where finally when caught again they get sent back home...if possible - some just get rid of their documents and claim to be someone else... nice people, huh?
The second problems are those illegal ones from poland and romania, they come with their whole family and apply for welfare (not citizenship- just welfare!) and have their kids organized to break in homes and pick pockets -
when caught by the police the cops cant do anything because its kids and the parents only get warned that the kids might get taken away, but before that happens they just move to another city and go on...nice people, huh?
Just gotta love 'em : (

Medical--big problems
Yes with poor who want more--there is more crime
Drugs
And in mine-we have had 9-Illegals arrested for Drunk driving in the last month--6 people die total--this is bad they didn't belong here-we have enough to deal with our own drunk drivers, and one family who son died was Hispanic-they want to know why these people are here working and they want them to go home where they belong and face jail there. Can you blame them?
You will get answers on crime that we have them too-and we do--but if we can stop some we should.

The illegal aliens themselves cause the problems, with criminal activity.
My wife hate the fact that when we go out, they oggle her because she is so fine and yell things at her in Spanish.
I hate the fact that I have to wear a feather in my hair so that nobody will think I am Mexican.
