msn stalkers and how to avoid?

if you chat on msn, is there anyway that the people you'[re chatting w/ can figure out where you're typing them from.......this one guy got all creepy on me and it's freaking me out, and I just wnat to make sure he can't find me. I don't want to press charges or anything so please don't suggest that :P lol HELP ME With answers

I sent him a pic of me (before the creepiness started) and didn't kn ow with sending him stuff from my comp. if it said something like who I am ..my comp. where I'm from....does that make sense? I just don't want this guy to know where I'm from....is there any way he can figure it out if I do NOT disclose my actual place I'm writing from, name, number etc.?

Block him and don't talk to him at all and if this continues talk to your parents.

If he's smart enough, the only thing he'll be able to figure out is who your IP provider is. But will never get your actual address. Unless he works for the government and has access to sophisticated equipment that can find ANYONE, ANYWHERE. But I highly doubt that.

Remember, DON'T ever give out your personal info. NOT even your pic. Could be a different story if you have been corresponding with each other for sometime (say at least the last 4 - 5 months). But even then, you still need to be smart about who you get involved with online.

If he's still harrassing you, block him, or create a new profile.

never ever chat with someone you don't know using an account that you use very often
just stop replying to the person if he stalks you online, what's so hard about that?
and i doubt anyone would do that...

I don't think they can figure out things like that. But you should put him on your block list.

Look yourself up on MSN, and don't give personel info, ever.
