I'd go get it checked out now. It could be the beginnings of an infection.

No, I'm sorry mine were all natural,But it sounds like an infection. So do as your doctor tells you. I was answering your question with a tip for you.To make the scar less visible use Maderma. You can get it at Walgreen's drug store. My mom had a quadruple bypass which left a horrible scar,She used that and after 6 weeks the scar had faded a lot and after a year it wasn't even noticeable any more. It also works on stretch marks.Directions say to gently rub it in.If you continue to rub for a while(gently) you will notice the old skin actually coming off!.But don't rub too hard because you'll get something equivalent to a rug burn! Sorry I wasn't more helpful to your question

Yes, my first c-section my incision almost completely opened I woke up soaking. And I just kept it clean and of course they put me on antibiotics for prevention. So as long as your on the antibiotics and the wound does not get red, painful, excessively swollen, and the discharge is fairly clear not green or (Very) yellowish (infection) then you will be fine. It's scary I know but you will be fine it's just the top layer of skin at the incision. Congrats on your new little one though!!

Yes. Had an abscess aroung one of my stitchs. Antibiotics and keeping the area clean and dry will help. If it doesn't get better in a couple of days after taking the meds, or if the area gets larger with more drainage go in and see your doctor.

If she called in some antibiotics for you then you will be fine just take them and keep cleaning your incision. I helped my sister in law after her c section and she did the exact same thing it was an infection trying to set up. She did what I just told you to do and it was all fine.

It is normal. Your cut is just trying to get all the nasty stuff out.

I would go to the doctor because there is a difference between normal drainage, and an infected incision.

What helped me with the rubbing is to get a maxi pad and put it over your scar so your pants don't rub it. That little tip isn't of any relavance to your question, but I'd thought I'd share.

Your doc is there for you until you are healed, so use that and get yourself in there and get it checked out!

Smelly discharge usually means an infection. Teh lump may have been a pocket of fluid. Take the antibiotics, and if it gets worse...go and see your Dr

I had the same problem- it was an infection setting in- just take the antibiotics the doctor gave you and keep it clean-

Good luck

Always see the doctor when something abnormal happens. Its fine to ask whats going on before your appointment, but always get the opinion of a trained medical doctor.
