Every single time I fly, I get "chosen" to be searched! They pull me aside into a small room; make me take my shoes off; hold my arms out while they wave that wand over me; etc. I mean, EVERY FREAKIN' TIME I FLY!
It's gotten to the point that I pretend I'm Deaf (I know ASL) to slow THEM down because I'm so freakin' upset that they pick me every single time I fly.
What gives? Is there some kind of code assigned to me or my name? I look & carry myself like a normal American. It REALLY p!sses me off that I get picked each time! What can I do?

Ok, so here's some tips as some had said if your buying last minute tickets, one way tickets, paying with cash, or yes have the same name of someone you will be chosen. It's done by a computer, and yes I've also heard that being a pain at the ticket counter could wind you up with those SSSS. Also we do random screening, so if a officer decides that your the next one then hey it's part of our job. Just go with it, it could make it a lot quicker, as I know if someone is being a major pain while I'm conducting screening I will make sure to take my time. Plus I wouldn't get pissed, what we do now could have prevented 9-11 and that's all we're trying to do it prevent it from happening again.

A few things will always make you a selectee. #1 if you purchase your ticket with cash. #2 if you purchase your ticket in less than 7 days. #3 if your name matches someone on the watch list or has a warrant out for their arrest. Try booking your ticket under your middle name rather than your first and see if that will change your luck, your middle name is still part of your legal name, just make sure that its on your ID. Some airlines work on a passenger number list, but I highly doubt every time you are that number on the passenger name list.

Secondly...the agent can put you on the list, so make sure you arent pissing anyone off when you check in. There were many times someone would get an attitude at check in and, what do you know...they became a full search.
