I just read about several thousand pacifists-mainly from America who vollunteered to be human shields for the Iraqi Army days before the war, making our troops jobs just that much harder. Even if you don't agree with the war what would compel you to give up your life to protect some of worst mass murderers in modern history?

i think you missunderstand who these pacifists are; they (at least the ones CNN interviewed) were all liberal treehugger types. the Christians stayed at home and protested the deaths

Extreme Pacifism is a mental disorder.

Well, I think the answer is obvious. There is nothing that could compel them to give up their lives. None of them actually did it. As usual, people are all full of piss and vinegar, but no action. The only people who back up that kind of talk are the ones in the military. They say they are gonna do something, they do it. I have lost three friends in this conflict and i will continue to support the military with all my heart and might. I do hope that one day, people will finally realize what those branches do for our country. Maybe then they will stop being so ignorant and threatening stuff like that. On the other hand... Natural selection at work...

I don't really care. Innocents get killed when we drop a bomb on the house next door. That's the cost of doing business. If these people know what's coming & stand in the way, I really don't mind dropping on their dumbasses. I won't feel bad about it. If they're kidnapped & put in the way, then we'll make a value judgement about how bad we need to kill the target & probably change the attack method, ordinance, whatever. An American freely acting as a sheild to hostile forces might as well be holding a rifle cause they are serving the enemy cause & guilty of treason against the United States as well as aiding & abetting the enemy. I got no sympathy

Pathetic low of the lowest life on earth. They basically have no esteem, no pride, or anything, so they need to feel good about something and want to be looked up at as a hero. So they go and try to be a hero but end up leave like a coward.

I peronally think Delta Force or SOC should be sent in disguise as arabs and murder all of them and disappear. That will discourage rest of wannabes from try to take up similar action.

They have been brainwashed by their cult(church) leaders to think that American troops would not fire on free Americans. They all belong the the fa r right political groups that are paid for, and bought by the Fundamentalist Christian churches.

These are the same guys who split when it became apparent that they would find themselves in the middle of a war.

They were nothing more than hot air.

No good....they're way too heavy, and it's really hard to strap them to your arm and..... oh. Those guys.

My Mother said that if you can't say something nice, don't say anything, so: "At least they refused to guard military targets." That's integrity, of a sort......
