if adam and eve were created without any defects, then their offspring would be able to marry each other because there will be no threat of having a child with defects. we dont marry close relatives today because of similar defects but back then they did not have them yet.

the levitical law that states that close relatives shall not marry came much later after adam and eve, so it was in no violation to God's Law

The children of Adam and Eve had sex with their siblings. This wasn't a problem nor was it prohibited for generations. While it's not stated, problems would have arose only because of degraded DNA -- incest, as we know it today, if prohibited because of the moral implications of bringing defective offspring in the world (i.e., offspring who would have an overabundance of potential genetic defects due to the close genetic relationship of their mother and father.

Adam and Eve had many other children besides Cain, Abel, and Seth, although they are not named in Scripture (Genesis 5:4).

These children married each other; incest was not forbidden until the time of the Mosaic Law (Genesis 20:12; Leviticus 18:9).

If Adam and Eve were the first humans, did God go to all the trouble of creating the fossil record to try to deliberately deceive future generations?

Personally, I'd prefer to believe the Genesis story was never intended to be taken literally.

All the other Adams' and Eves' kids. You don't really buy the story that there were only two of them do you? There were thousands of Adams and thousands of Eves. And they likely evolved.

Eve. It was not considered wrong at the time. How else would they populate the earth? However, I would like to know why God didn't start with more people, like four or five of each gender. He asks alot of Eve.

The Bible says they were the first man and woman they were the first of the "chosen" people. That is why they were in the garden of eden. It never said they were the only people. The chosen people were the Hebrews and it wasn't until Jesus came that we were all given a second chance

My point exactly! The bible is nothing but a story book to explain the wonders of the world. For some reason it has been a best seller for centuries.
