I don't consider myself a righty because with my left hand I write, spoon, play the guitar, wipe with towel, reel in the fishing rod.
I don't consider myself a lefty because with my right limbs I golf, bowl, throw, punch, kick, paint, cut with scissors, use the PC mouse, open the door, shake hands.
But, can this really be considered as ambidextrous? According to Dictionary.com, ambidextrous is "using both hands with equal facility." Obviously both of my hands (left and right) are used, but not both can proficiently perform one specific skill: either left or right is dominant. Plus, it seems that I use my right hand most than my left, so it can't really be called "equal."
How would this be classified? Anyone else with a similar situation? Any thoughts? Thanks.
