How do you explain Dinosaurs? Were they on Noah's Ark (for you Christians, Jews, etc.)?

Scientists have proven, using Carbon dating that humans were certainly not living when Dinosaurs walked the Earth. So that rules out a God creating all things in the same time or in a short period of time.

If you don't believe in Dinosaurs, then can you answer the same for later creatures, like Mammoths, Saber-Toothed Tigers, and Ancient Sloths??

Thanks.

As some explained already, carbon dating is only accurate for a short duration. There are so many assumptions made - ie, the half-life of carbon-14 to 100 decimal places, that there has always been the exact same carbon-14 to carbon-12 ratio, that nothing else could add carbon-12 to a sample other than decay, that nothing else could remove carbon-14 other than decay - that it is only useful in the VERY short term.

There is adequate evidence to show that humans and dinosaurs existed together, including cave paintings and carvings.

Let's turn this around:
How can evolutionists explain 'polystrate fossils'? There are so many fossils that cross the supposed strata; these animals either were buried completely and quickly, against the supposed geological timetable, or they were buried over billions of years without decaying or being eaten. Which makes more logical sense?

As far as leviathon and behemoth go, no one can be sure what animal is being described (americanatheist.com) Also, especially since it doesn't verify Xtian philosophy, carbon dating doesn't work as an argument. Still, even if they don't believe the earth was around for millions of years, I would think they would at least admit to the fact that dinosaur bones are older than human bones and did not exist at the same time. As far as the dino & human prints being found together, I looked it up on 'Google' and found a couple of websites that say the prints have been shown to be forgeries...and that some Xtian scientists will agree.

There have been some good arguments out there. The footprints may have been forgeries, but there is rock art showing the same thing that has NOT been proven a forgery. Also, there have been dino bones that have been dug up and carbon dated but then the bones were damaged, and when damaged, were opened up to show soft tissue. Completely impossible in the light of millions of years.

Here is one of the best websites I have found regarding this subject. But only go there if you are prepared to be faced with a whole bunch of awesome evidence supporting creation, the flood, and the Bible.

The Bible deals with the creation of man and all things in his realm, being as dinosaurs are not of this time and the carbon dating as well as genetics have proven that there are living dinos around still. Even plants and animals from the pre-historic era are around. Examples are many sea creatures, horses, the ginko tree ane pot scrubber plant, pot as in pans not herbs.... The Bible does speak of unicorns: where are they ? Also UFOS and dragons: have you seen either of these lately ? There are two theories, that is a fact, there are two rational answers to those also: If you believe in Creationism and you are wrong, then you are just dead, if you believe in Darwanism and are wrong you are in a HELL of a lot of trouble, literally. I for one think that we are too intelligent to believe that this is all an accident, just the rainbows as a spoken promise of God to never rain for 40 days n nights is enough for the Ark theory for me. I also think that inside of all of us we know the answer and yet feel the need to over think anylize and break it down, the world with a God, the One true God is a better place than one without....

One suggested interpretation of Genesis 1 is that the six "days" of creation are not literal days but rather undefined (and possibly very long) periods of time which are categorized as "days" as a condescension to our limited understanding. So each "day" of creation could have been millions of years, thus allowing for the rise and fall of the dinosaurs (all of which would have preceded the birth of humankind, which would explain why there were no dinosaurs on the ark).

My own theory is when God was creating the earth, he used "matter unorganized" which could have had dinosaurs on it...I know that sounds really weird, but the "matter" had to come from somewhere. Sometimes I really think that dinosaurs were an experiment of God's...

Welcome to , the web site of the Creation Evidence Museum in Glen Rose, Texas.

As you browse our pages you will receive educational information presenting scientific evidence for creation and design by a personal Creator. This scientifically chartered museum was established in July of 1984 for the purpose of research, excavation, and display of scientific evidence for creation. The Museum's team, led by its Founder and Director, Carl Baugh, Ph.D., has excavated eleven dinosaurs (Acrocanthosaurus, Stegosaurus, Allosaurus, etc.), 475 dinosaur tracks, 86 human footprints, 7 cat prints, and other fossil remains - all in Cretaceous limestone. Excavations were professionally documented along the Paluxy River and various other international locations.

Among museums this entity makes a unique contribution, demonstrating that man and dinosaur lived contemporaneously.Q: Are dinosaurs found in the Bible?

A: Yes

For a biblical study on dinosaurs in the Old Testament, I would definitely recommend using the Authorized Version (AV)/King James Version (KJV) of the Scriptures which were translated into English from the Masoretic text in 1611 [230 years before the word "dinosaur" was available!]. Using a Strong's Concordance, you will find the Hebrew word "tannin" is used 25 times, and is translated as 'dragon(s),''serpent(s),' 'monster(s)' [and, in the more modern versions, improperly as 'jackal(s)']. The key to remember is to look for Hebrew Lexicon #8577.

CREATION WEEK (~4000 B.C.)

DAY 5--[Gen.1:20-21]--Creation of marine monsters (Hebrew "tannin," includes large marine 'mammals' and 'reptiles') and winged/flying creatures (Hebrew "o(w)ph," includes all feathered and non-feathered flyers--even pterosaurs, the flying reptiles!)

DAY 6--[Gen.1:24-25]--Making of dinosaurs and other land creatures, divided among the cattle (Hebrew "behemah," includes all quadrupedal, hoofed/blunt-toed ungulates), beasts of the earth (bipedal/quadrupedal, talon-toed), and creeping things (quadrupedal/multi-legged ground crawlers).

FLOOD YEAR (~2350 B.C.)

[Gen.6:17,19-20; 7:14-15; 9:17,19]--Juvenile representatives of every terrestrial, air-breathing kind (not species), including dinosaurs and pterosaurs, were directed by God to the Ark.

Those outside the Ark would be left to be scavenged by marine predators or be buried and fossilized quickly.

POST-FLOOD PERIOD

MARINE MONSTERS--[Leviathan (Job 3:8-'mourning'; 41:1-34/Ps.74:14;104:26/ Isa.27:1); see also Lam.4:3 & Amos 9:3].

PTEROSAURS--[esp. the bioluminescent flying reptiles (Isa.14:29 & 30:6)].

DINOSAURS--[see Strong's Concordance(KJV) under "dragon(s);" also Exod. 7:9-10 (#8577, not #5175)].

The best dinosaur passage in the Bible is Job 40:15-24 where God speaks to Job concerning BEHEMOTH ["most excellent beasts"--intensive plural of

Day 6 'cattle' ("behemah")], a huge sauropod dinosaur (especially notice verses 17 &19 !!!). Don't forget to ckeck our website for dinosaur publications under "Resources" and...happy dinosaur hunting!

Okay, I have the same issue, but here is my philosophy, I believe that God created Dinosaurs and man. However, God created man after he realized that dinosaurs are not what he wanted, and because they didn't mirror his image.

Most christians believe that the story of creation in Genisis is an allegory. When it says 7 days, this really means 7 eons. So the billions of years of geological and life evolution took place within those first 6 days or so... a bunch of B S in my opinion. :)
