With the Supreme Court's decision on the detainees since the world was thrown into a "tizzy" by a "coalition of the willing" over three years ago, I would like to peruse a copy of this document.

This is the best site to study the various documents that make up the 'Laws and Customs of War.'

The Geneva Conventions are a part of these laws.

Note: Keep in mind that Geneva IV does not apply because not enough nations have agreed to it.

--oh also in reference to Geneva; you are aware that the kidnapping and subsequent coldblooded murder by beheading of non-combatants is not legal under the Geneva Convention, and neither is the mass murder of innocents, or even the beheading of captured soldiers: all things that Al-Qaeda did BEFORE the Supreme Court's decision

The insurgents are breaking all of the rules in it anyway, I don't see why we have to follow the rules if our enemies aren't..

Insurgents don't wear uniforms of a foreign nation which basically exempts them from any and all protections by the Geneva Convention.

The UN websites have easy to read documents about all of the issues your after. Try the UNHCR and the UNDP websites to get a bigger picture of what's at stake.
