Why is Islam being portrait really badly??

I know Some sites that jewish made and they have wrong info about ISlam. I dont get it why Are these people doing it. Some people are also giving wrong info about quran..WHY???

Islam is the worlds 2nd largest religion after Christianity. That is why you have many of these Jewish websites telling you lies about Islam so people get the wrong idea and run away from Islam. Then you had the terrorists attacks and the media needed a good story so they blamed it on the Muslims. God knows who really is responsible behind this whole mess. And if it is Osama then he is a disgrace to the Muslim World. Because no where in the Quran does it say that Jihad is to kill innocent men, women and children. The surprising thing is that after 9/11 you had more converts to Islam than in any other time in history. People were curious and wanted to learn more about Islam. So as you can see the governments scheme didn't work out, the opposite of what they wanted happened. The answer to your question is simply hate and jealousy. I pray to God that one day there will be peace, justice and equality in this world.

There are several things going on here. First of all, some people are racist. I don't know the "Jewish" sites you're referring to. I do know that EVERYBODY is racist, to a certain degree. I would hope that you wouldn't disagree that Muslems are also extremely anti-semtic, and often teach things in SCHOOLS that are racist against Jews. Probably much more racist than whatever's on these websites.
The other factor is that there are lots of crappy things about Islam. Let's just say it. There is the terrorism thing. I'm not saying that all Muslems are terrorists -- not at all. But it does seem like most terrorists are Muslems.
But it's bigger than terrorism. There's the issue of EXTREMEISM. Extremists are causing lots of death all over the world, killing people who don't agree with them. (Believe me, there are lots of Christian extremists who are just as bad...) And the way women are treated in Islamic countries is disgusting -- they are practically slaves. There is no excuse for this. And when I think about the Taliban blowing up those huge, anchient buddist statues in Bamiyan (because they didn't praise Allah) I just want to vomit. There is no excuse for this either.
I understand your feelings. Lots of people assume that all Islamic people are terrorists. I understand that you feel like a second class citizen of the world, and that you are the object of racism. You are. People are racists. But please keep in mind how there are things about the Islamic Relgion, and Muslem culture, that really, really suck. I, personally, cannot ever have respect for your religion or your culture until there is more equality of the sexes. I'm a white, American, Male person, and I am able to think about & discuss what sucks about white, european/american culture & history and stuff. (As well as being proud of the good stuff.) Are you able to think about what sucks in your own culture? (as well as being proud of the things that are good about it?)

There are a number of reasons why Islam and Muslims have an internationally bad reputation, even among non-Jews. Here are the reasons that immediately come to mind:

1. Muslim women are treated like DOGS and SLAVES by Muslim men. Women have no equal rights at all. Many in the US have heard horror stories about how some Muslim scumbag man manipulated his new American bride to go to a Muslim theocratic country. Once she got there, she was reduced to the social status of a PRISONER and SLAVE.

You don't think we learn in the news about how bad Muslim women are treated?

Think again.

Our news is not manipulated and censored by Muslim clerics as it is in Iran. Granted, some stores are spiked but for the most part, many countries have FREE PRESS.

Are all Muslim men scumbags? Probably not. Just the ones that follow the Koran's warped morality in a fundamentalist capacity.

2. The teachings of Islam are decidedly not ecumenical. Many fundamentalists in other religions are not ecumenical either. But at least their scripture doesn't instruct them to hunt down and kill all peoples that do not accept their religion and god. You don't hear about a Jihad or Holy War in Christian, Buddhist, or Hindu theology, but you do hear about it in the teachings of Islam.

3. Many Islamic fundamentalists either favor international terrorism against innocents or are part of an international terrorist organization.

Which leads us to...

4. Osama bin Laden has said that he wants to go back to the days of the medieval crusades. He wants to conquer Europe and replace the democracies there with Islamic theocracies. Millions of people are understandably concerned about Islamic imperialism.

5. Islamic theocratic countries, in addition to treating their women like dogs and slaves, have all kinds of other sociological problems that hark back to medieval brutality in government.

That about covers the key points as to why Islam is considered by many to be a perverted religion. I am sure that there are other reasons as well but that will do for now.

Islam is getting bad press because Muslims are acting badly in the name of Islam:
there are Muslims videotaping themselves beheading people and bragging about it.
there are Muslims blowing themselves up in order to kill women and children and as many people as they can. Think of that wedding party.
there are Muslims who want me to live in their demented, stone age world, or else kill me. I just can't agree with that and if pushed hard enough would gladly send them back to that stone age.

The Irish have stopped blowing each other up.
Never heard of a Mexican blowing anything up, they just want to work.
Even the Columbian drug cartels are not making the press the way they used to.

media and politics are the real threat to any to islam.. they always take part of the truth and transform it into a lie. since 911, people have thought of Muslims men with long beards walking around with bombs attached to them and Muslim women as poor, oppressed creatures beaten by their husbands and sons when these are complete lies. that is why i think that media are the real politics in America. they are what stir America's opinions and emotions toward a certain direction. I'm not saying all media is bad. just the ones that tell lies and nonsense.

I blame it on the Muslims, first and foremost. You can't just get respect!!!!!!!!! You gotta earn it!!!

But first, let's get one fact straight...most terrorists are not muslims, and if someone believes that, then they're a perfect victim of the media. Go back to watching TV and eating your potato chips as you indulge yourself in the greatest of filthy sins.

Secondly, Muslims have to play a greater role in being the models of the way mankind should live, like the Messenger PBUH himself did. If muslims are to follow the lead of The Prophet, then why the hell are they doing so?
