If you round up every single illegal you're going to mess up this nation's economy. I'm sure I'm not the first person to tell you this but

Even if you all the illegals were somehow to become legal overnight, the employers would not be able to pay them basic minimum wage and make a real income.

Its lower wages are the reasons why illegals are even an issue in this country. I can't imagine that you would actually accept three dollars a day for wages at a car wash and the bosses lying to you and collecting your tips at the end of the day so that you really DO make only three dollars a day. I can't see it. But its happening right now in the state I live in. And its keeping business costs down.

Come on now.

Illegals are still illegal for a reason: Think about it!

the way i see it that won't solve the problem (i wish it would because i'd do it in a heart beat) Now you make a good point about sitting around and waiting for the government to do something...they won't....I think we've got to boycott any business that hires them...if we all did that then the business owners would have to stop hiring them or go out of business. Once either of those things happened then that job source is gone...once all of the job sources are gone then they'll have less of a reason to come here and the number of illegal immigrants would drop at least to a number that we could realistically round up and deport

Neither. I think that this recent stink about illegals is a bunch of hooey. If somebody wants to be here and be a part of our society, we should let them. The strains on the system aren't much different that what everybody complained about for the last 150-200 years with each influx of immigrants. Should we turn back the hands of time and not allow the Italians or the Irish into our country?
In my opinion, More ingredients in the "melting pot" make for a better societal soup.

Most American citizens don't have the power to deport immigrants, and if that isn't your job, you have no choice but to 'sit around and wait for the government to do it'. I don't really agree with the idea of chucking out people who now have a chance at a good life for them and their families when they haven't really done anything wrong. I mean, surely if we had LET them come in, they wouldn't have resorted to sneaking around to do it. But hey, I'm not in politics, and probably for a very good reason: I don't know what's going on. However I DO know that you should not take matters into your own hands.

Tough question!!!

The action of rounding them up is less of the issue than actually doing it and deporting them. We depend too much on them for out financial markets to do that. Yeah, we can argue and bluster about it until we are red (... or in my case more brown ...) in the face but it would literally bankrupt the systerm.

The following are areas that they provide to the economy that they don't get back:

1. Social security
2. State & Federal income taxes
3. Pension funds
4. Lower food prices
5. Lower construction market prices
6. Lower home service market prices
7. Lower food service prices
8. More business income within consumable goods

Like I said, the issue is not getting rid of them; the issue is getting rid of them and NOT hurting ourselves that much. As it comes to immigration, I think that we can't discuss anything unless you are able to stop the inflow of illigal immigrants.

And for the most part our neighbors from the south are getting a bad rap; there are many more people from the Eurasian contingent, who go through Canada and take the higher-paying jobs. Most of our neighbors from the south find their niche within lower-paying service positions in most industries --- which I doubt that most U.S.citizens are running after.

why does it bother you so much ?
people come here to be some-what free and have a better life than what they have in their own country's
plus i think that the more they try and keep them out the more they figure out how to come in so its going to be a battle that is never going to get solved
plus US benefits a lot from most illegals because they work for almost no money at all I'm not saying its right but that's how it is

Better stock up on orange juice and ketchup because once they are gone you wont be able to get a lazy american to do the job. OH wait we can send all the lazy americans drawing welfare (the ones who can work but dont) into the jobs no one else wants. Better yet, lets send the welfare people (the ones who can work but dont) to Mexico and keep the Mexicans that want to work.

Then expect citizens from the United States to be ejected from other countries as well. Then you might lose your job flippin burgers with all the returned U.S. expats.
