"fiance" works fine in everyday American English. If you want to be fancy and use the correct French words, "fiancé" is used for the man and "fiancée" is used for the woman.
Type "fiance" into Microsoft Word and you'll see those two options.

Him - fiance (the "e" should have an accent mark above it)
Her - fiancee
They are pronounced the same, but spelled differently.
