I boxed for the south west of England as an amateur, stopped for a year went to Thai land on holiday/travelling for four months.Towards the end of it i started training at a Thai boxing gym within two weeks(i had been mistreating my body booze and stuff) i was asked if i wanted to fight in a match,I knew in myself i was n't ready so i waited another two weeks and accepted the fight(won in two round with a KO but just boxed him bit rough) You have to decide and any good gym would train you to be fit.Just put the work in and no matter how fit you are the coach should see your effort and persist with training you!
To Tom up there do you think you could do all that if you had no training you have to start somewhere! Shoulin monk!

I've known people in all sorts of phases of physical fitness to undertake kick boxing and other forms of martial arts...they were taking classes, however...and so their teacher worked with them according to their capabilities...plus, the process of learning such an art is bound to not only increase your fitness...but let you know exactly where you are at physically..real quick!!!!

I liken your challenge to Neo contained in the movie 'The Matrix Revolutions' the position agent Smith asks him why he persists on combating for an unworthy reason to which Neo replies 'because i pick to'. it truly is yet your determination no matter if you element out your practise, in case you do not and favor to keep it secret, attempt imaging the marvel on your friends faces once you help them out of a sticky challenge out of your new got here upon self belief. yet always bear in mind this, no quantity of teaching in any martial artwork can replace who you're as someone so in case you experience uncomfortable you should redress the steadiness to be finished.

Can you run six miles in the morning and six at night? Can you stand on your toes or heels, pivot and kick continuously for three minutes? If not don't even think about it.
