Well, not every Christian or Muslim does this. And I think you realize that this tactic is not a good way to discuss ideas, based on your last sentence. A proper defense would be to analyze certain verses and find their 'true' meanings, and argue off of those.

Neither verses of the Gospel, and neither verses of the Quran are disgusting. Your perception casts a dark cloud over your sense of reasoning. What is the longest time you've lived in solitude, completely detached from society and all worldly affairs. There is not a single soul in the world that has gone through such an experience and comes out of it not believing in what the Gospel and the Quran have to say. Even the greatest of the greatest Christian scholars give Quran the respect. And the greatest Muslim scholars hold the Gospel in high regards.
If you feel a reasonable defense is not being presented, then you're looking in the wrong place. Don't let others do the judgement for you; judge for yourself. Pick up the most original copy of the Gospel you can find, and pick up any modern day Quran. If your heart and soul are in the right place, the truth will come your way before you even know it exists!

Please do go ahead and quote any "disgusting" verse from the Quran. Will be more then happy to clear up whatever misconceptions you all have, not by quoting from the bible, but by simple logic, which most human beings are endowed with...regardless of religion.
And for the mentally dengenrated jackasses referring to islam in whatever degrading words you can think of, I suggest you read up about the religion rather than judging it based on the actions of a few.
God bless!

I don't get it? What is your question?
You said Muslims are quoting "bad verses" from the Bible when you have a question regarding the Quran. But what is the question?
What is it that you are questioning regarding Islam? Please ask the question and be specific, I'll try to answer it without qouting from the Bible. It makes no sense to point out negative stuff in someone else's religion when you are asking about mine.

Yes, you are correct. Christian and Muslim are not the only religious choices out there. Faith is created by God. It is a gift. This holds true for any religion out there. Religion is created by man, and is, by it's nature, imperfect. It is and has been used to subjugate the masses and exclude those perceived (by man) as less than worthy. Faith is about tolerance and acceptance. Those people out there who like to quote from various scriptures and use those verses to condemn others are wrong. They are why we ended up with religious persecution (the inquisition, the crusades, witch trials, and the current acts of terrorism). It's no different than forcing our way of government on someone or merely allowing others to view our way of life and choose it for themselves. It is complete lunacy to attack something that is wrong by citing other wrongs. The Bible has many verses that would justify going out and forcing those beliefs onto others as does the Quran. What is the ultimate message? Christ gave one last commandment before he was taken to the cross. I believe it covers the previous commandments with one simple statement. "Love one another as I have loved you". He loved us unconditionally even though we put him on the cross and brutally executed him. I don't know much about Islaam. My assumption would be that the same folks who wage Jihad are basically equal to the Christian right wing who try to force their "moral beliefs" onto everyone. The difference is in the choice of weaponry. Bomb vests vs. money and lobbying groups. They are both equally as dangerous, though.

To act upon the religions u have to have faith on Almighty- and u must believe one thing that nodoubt there is only one God but thr has to be one path leading to him coz every other religion contradicts every other religion. There can not be 2 or three paths and one can not workout without religion. Coz that is y we r here. to serve Almighty that is the only purpose of our creation. About Islam and christianity, no doubt these two religions are very much alike. i will tell u reson for that but first of all for a moment suppose........suppose Jesus is a prophet not a God's Son. who was given and blessed with a way and a book Injeel(Bible). Now his predecessor Muhammad peace be Upon Him sai once that among all the prophets Jesus is more alike me coz he is my closest one and ther5e is no prphet between him and me. So it means his looks...his teachings and his book is more like islam. but some people who worked for Satan took jesus as gods son. The first one to give this Idea was BOLEES who was a jew converted into christianity and was impressed with jesus teachings so much more that he took him as a son of the God. Now Christians believe in Old testament brought by many prophets including mosses , Izakel, David, Joseph, Solomon and many others now they also believe in new testament and claims that all the old testaments have been cancelled.....y it is so......Now who can cancel a prphets teachings...Definetly a new prophet....If at all we take for suppose that son of God do exist. Do he has to coem with some teachings. Shouldnt he be continuing with the old teachings. only a Prophet cancels previous teachings not a Son. As a matter of Fact God doesnt owns any Son coz he doesnt needs a Son .only he needs a son who has to die so that his race should continue and we all know that God is for ever the Almighty and He will remain for ever

I don't know if this answers your question or not, but one of the main reasons that I believe in Christianity is that the people who knew Jesus were willing to be tortured to death rather than change their story that they saw Jesus return from the dead.
If the apostles were lying about seeing the resurrected Christ, then why didn't they take back their story when they were individually being tortured to death? Every one of the apostles (Except John, who died a natural death in exile on Patmos), were killed for their faith. Wouldn't a liar recant this story to save his own life?
What did the apostles have to gain by making it all up? What good does fame do for a dead person?
I accept the apostles' story because the witnesses were creditable.

In response to your answer to my question : - I'm not a lover of colonialism, neither am I a sympathizer of the Indian muslim community. I want the rights of the Hindu majority to be protected. But I hate groups like Shiv Sena and RSS. Killing muslims won't make them win any popularity contests. They need to do it differently. I agree that our govt. has a policy of appeasing minorities and curbing the rights of the majority Hindus. I also agree that Hinduism is one of the greatest religions in the world because of its open mindedness. Although you are not showing any signs of open mindedness. That's not a very Hindu thing to do.
