I t depends on how bad the curvature of your spine is. You can treat scoliosis in a matter of different ways, if you're really young, I have heard of doctors having people just hang from a bar for however long every day to coax the spine to go strait. I know of someone who has to have special lifts in their shoes due to one leg being longer because of the spinal twist, but the worst that person has to go through is just going to the chiropractor once in a while to get stuff adjusted. Don't worry, it is not as bad as you think!!! :-)

I've had scoliosis for years - since I was 5 or so. It isn't very bad. Most people don't even notice that I have it. One shoulder is higher, one pant leg a bit longer. I do not go to a doctor or chiropractor for this. I have learned that I will get a back ache if I don't sleep on my side. I never sleep on my back. It has been easy for me to learn to live with. For you, it depends on how much it interferes with your daily life - not everyone has the same degree of curvature. I hope that this turns out to be just a minor irritation for you as it has for me.

Scoliosis is an abnormal curvature of the spine..the spine becomes "S" shaped and the upper body shifts. There is a surgery that can be done to correct this with a short recovery period.
My niece had this surgery and is perfectly fine..good luck...

It depends upon how severe it is. I had it when I was a young teen, but it went away. I have a cousin who has had it starting in early puberty and nothing was done about it and now he is short because he has a hump in his back. His organs are all scrunched up and for a while had trouble breathing well.

I have it and I'm 37. I've had it since puberty. I go see the chiropractor once a month to keep myself as aligned as possible, keep my weight down and stay in shape. It gives me very little trouble.

I suppose it would depend how severe yours is.

no I have it there's nothing bad just if it gets really bad you have to wear a back brace.( which normally never happens) You'll be fine and most people grow out of it.
