I am stationed at Fort Campbell, and I will go to Air Assault school within the year (getting deployed in November) and I aint looking forward to it...does it suck?

As a past drill instructor for the Air Assault School I thought the course was challenging and weeded out the soldiers who would have failed in the field. Train now, and it will pay off later. Get yourself in top physical condition and get clean, even beer will sap your energy and you are going to need it all. Run and develop your upper body strength. You should be proud you were chosen to be with the elite. If you are going to do a job, do it the best you can. It will pay off in the years ahead.
And yes while you are there you may think it sucks. But when you pin those wings on, you will think a lot differently.
