Politics, like everything else, is so over the top these days, that I really can't affiliate myself with either party. My basic philosophy is that we should love our neighbors as we love ourselves.
How does that play out in the political sense? The so-called "bleeding heart liberals" want abortion and assisted suicide to be viable options. They want to leave us vulnerable to terrorism and child molesters. Freedom of speech seems to apply to everyone who agrees with their hedonistic ideology, but not to those who want to promote safety and morality. I think of myself as being liberal, but even when I was young and naive, I never thought we should be a country without laws. This is insanity.
And God bless you Tofu Jesus. I know you aren't trying to impersonate the real Jesus. Anyone who thinks you are, is being ridiculous. Anyone who is actually fooled into believing you are the real Jesus is even more ridiculous. In another post, I told you what I think of your "accent", but I applaud your efforts to promote peace and love (if I'm understanding your motivation correctly). Have a wonderful day, and don't let the turkeys get your down.

Canada has a 'Liberal party' whose former leader once described it as the 'radical middle'. I have no interest in standing in the centre. By the American definition of 'liberal', I am. By the European definition of 'liberal' (almost the opposite) I am not.
I am somewhere between a 'reformed' leftist and an 'unreformed' leftist. There is only one party in Canada I have ever considered voting for, and they have never held the national government. Oh well... just another way that I'm an outsider...

You've got to do more than just use antiquated verb forms. Throw in some good Shakespearean cant for effect.

I don't believe in political parties.. I feel they are counterproductive to society. I vote on who is dealing with the issues not what party they reside in.
