Some things are good, and some things are bad. But it's the specifics of the situation that make it so, not thinking. Murder is sometimes justifiable. But it's not my thought that makes it so; it's extenuating circumstances. There's only one person, ultimately, who can decide in that situation... you. Listen to all the authorities you want, in the end you still have to make up your own mind. That's why you have a conscience and free will.

If I were a depresed Danish prince, I might agree with you. But Hamlet was having a crisis of faith at that point -- his notions of eternal good and bad were crumbling. At the same time, he was making a comment about individual perception of an individual state (not a general assessment of world events).

I agree that nothing is good, nor is anything bad. I would disagree and say not thinking makes them so. Only in seeing part of the whole does one see division in the duality of all things.

When someone is coming from the perspective where they realize themselves as everything (enlightenment experience), good can only flow. Otherwise, it is as you say. However, I think a general rule is: if you wouldn't want something done to you and you do this to someone else, it's wrong.

Things are usually good or bad depending on your point of view and how it affects you...I agree with what Shakespeare wrote.
