Girl being atheist isn't terrible. My family is from China so we were forced to live without religion. I grew up that way too. I just think there is a God. There has to be some one somewhere that is out there that keeps up going. Why do we keep living when we know that there is nothing behind the wall of this world? No beliefs. I try and even if you did try it's hard. People push things like "if you read the book" I experiment. You don't have too. I think the phenomenon with religion is that they help the world have hope. And when something good happens you say Grazie Senor. People think that atheist thinks that God is not real. In my case its not true.

here's the cliche explination: people fear what htey don't understand. Religious people don't understand how you CAN'T believe in a higher power, much in the same way some athiests don't understand how religious people CAN believe in a higher power.
Is it bad that you're an athiest? Yes and no. It all depends on who you ask. It's all about perception of reality. Do i believe? Yes. But that's my choice.
I believe that any REAL spiritual person understands that true belief can't be pushed on someone. And if they choose not to believe, power to 'em. I for one won't talk religion with someone who isn't wiling to listen. And people who just push push push on "saving" people aren't doing God's work, they're doing their own.
Chin up! Don't listen to ignorant people who don't understand. just don't become ignorant yourself ;-)

I don't think that Atheists are horrible--hell, ya make up about 1/6th of the population of the world :D.
There's no reason that anyone should be forced to listen to things like that. I'm a Catholic that constantly gets told that I'm going to hell because I'm not Baptist.
People have the right to believe what they want to believe, and people shouldn't tell others how to live their life. Atheists are not below anyone else. Hell, I get pissed off when someone's all "JESUS!!!" in their face.
Unfortunately, others are raised to think that way--and have it constantly reinforced.

"An Atheist loves himself and his fellow man instead of a god. An Atheist knows that heaven is something for which we should work now - here on earth - for all men together to enjoy. An Atheist thinks that he can get no help through prayer but that he must find in himself the inner conviction and strength to meet life, to grapple with it, to subdue, and enjoy it. An Atheist thinks that only in a knowledge of himself and a knowledge of his fellow man can he find the understanding that will help to a life of fulfillment. Therefore, he seeks to know himself and his fellow man rather than to know a god. An Atheist knows that a hospital should be built instead of a church. An Atheist knows that a deed must be done instead of a prayer said. An Atheist strives for involvement in life and not escape into death. He wants disease conquered, poverty vanquished, war eliminated. He wants man to understand and love man. He wants an ethical way of life. He knows that we cannot rely on a god nor channel action into prayer nor hope for an end to troubles in the hereafter. He knows that we are our brother's keeper and keepers of our lives; that we are responsible persons, that the job is here and the time is now." ~ Madalyn Murray (later O'Hair), preamble to Murray v. Curlett, 27 April 1961

Hi there.
It is our duty to spread the word of God, but it is not in our place to "convert" or judge anyone. The conversion comes from the Holy Spirit and it is God who is the ultimate Judge.
Now, because you don't believe in God, do not insist upon Christians that God does not exist. Okay?

Some people are just idiots. They believe that only their religion is right because it is the most popular form or they were told since birth that their religion is the only one that is right. I couldn't handle religion because of that so I became an agnostic.

hitler could'a been GOOD if he awanted to, not Evil, like he turned out.
Anybody can CHOSE to be GOOD or BAD, and chose to be BAD up to the Point of EVIL (demon possessed).
ASSUME make's an xxx out of U and ME.
Let's be pratical bout' this, and use our Mind's.
If your BAD, your bad.
If your GOOD, your good.
Most People can tell the difference.
Why can't we all "JUST get ALONG", Yak yak, yak yak ayk. Ditto.......
p.s. It shouldn't be long befor the one above me get's SAVED. She has opened the Door by just thinking that there's got to be a GOD, now, GOD will find HER----HE's got something to work with. Then she can call herself GOD's CAT. Hope this helps, and no offense. Later........

I don't assume that anyone is a bad person. There will always be people who we don't agree with but that doesn't make them bad people. People should get to know one another instead of shunning people just because theeir beliefs may be different.
