It's all about balance. If you ate too much at one meal, simply eat a little less ,perhaps a few tablespoons less off your plate,at the next two meals. If you had too much butter on your bread at breakfast, have your salad or burger with little or no dressing at lunch.if you had that extra scoop of ice cream as a snack, simply don't eat dessert at dinner.
If you can add an extra 15 or so minutes of cardio to your usual exercise routine,so much the better. But don't beat yourself up over an occasional lapse.(One day's lapse doesn't make you an uncontrolled pig.)
Sometimes we all experience unusual hunger, and you feel as if you'll faint if you don't eat something.Just learn to drink a glass of cool water first,to make sure it isn't thirst masquerading as hunger. After 10 minutes get yourself some fruit,or a homemade smoothie,or a yogurt.Just be consistent, and try to keep to a healthy sensible diet as much as possible.Good luck!!

If you go overboard, just get back "with it" with your next meal. If you add exercise into your program you will see results alot faster. Anything aerobic will help you to lose. Walking, jogging, swimming, dancing, tae bo, kickboxing, aerobics etc. Anything that will make you move and sweat for at least 30 minutes 4-6 days a week will speed your weight loss big time.

Just continue on with the diet. Don't try to "make up" for it. Making up for it does not raise your metabolism and is the starting point for the road to eating disorders.
