I'm gonna have to go with the original answer...he had to have had the "beep beep" either that or he found a really excellent way to inspire people to listen to HIM. Jesus was a pretty smart guy for his time. He was better educated than many of the people out there, and using this education he ionized the people who were in dire need for a Messiah...ANY MESSIAH...especially one who fit all of the ancient prophecies. If you believed the world was ending, and your Mom and Dad told you that a Messiah would ride in on a white donkey and save the world, the next time you saw a dude on a white donkey you'd probably give the guy a chance to spit some game. Wouldn't you. Even if you weren't really sure where he was getting his information. YOU NEED TO BELIEVE!!! so you do. End of story. Did you know that if it wasn't for the Roman Emperor Constantine, Christianity probably wouldn't be around today? And that almost all of what we are taught today was voted upon at The Council of Nicea 400 years after Jesus was supposedly crucified? Blind faith is the worst kind mate.
Cheers!

Jesus knew that he is the truth because anyone who has an enlightenment experience sees reality as One -- and that there is only one thing. The individual is seen as illusory and the experiencer identifes w/ the One -- the Christ, the buddha nature, whatever u want to call it. Buddha, then, is the truth, life, and no one can come to the father except thru him. This just means that once a person realizes ultimate reality/god, they become the Way by showing us an example that we can follow -- since there's only One thing, all who have the experience are the Single way.

Jesus knew about altered states of consciousness via going and studying in the east. He knew god was us and our desire to understand each other like a musical symphony can play in harmony. If he did say that no one comes thru god except for me then he isn't as wise as I would expect him to be. He said we have the power and the things I do, YOU can do and more. That was the message.

Like everything in the Bible I think this could be taken as metaphor. I think what is being said is that Jesus was the prime example of the good and godly life and that being like him was the way to understand god - and be with him here on earth.
I think God communicated with Jesus just as he does with us - in feelings, ideas, etc., during prayer, meditation and in our day to day life.
Peace!

What type of question is that? Do you honestly think there is a person alive today who could answer such a question? Better yet, who really cares?
