Actually, congress is debating renewing an old law known as the Voting Rights Act. The act prohibits states from passing laws to prevent minorities from exercising their constitutional right to vote. Any such laws would be unconstitutional, making the Voting Rights Act redundant. The Multi-lingual ballot provision is not new either. Only US citizens are legally allowed to vote. The abillity to use the English language is a requirement to become a citizen. Therefore, multi-lingual ballots are unnessary.

You know, PA just passed a bill stating than any state-sponsored content will only be in English. I wonder if the states get a say over this, or if the Federal government gets the final say...

Enough already. Does anyone think they have English ballots in Mexico? Anyone eligible to vote should have to understand English.
