I just bought some in the pod and I am not exactly sure how to fix or eat it. I heard that you can pop the beans right out of the pod.

Are they frozen or fresh?

For fresh edamame, you don't want to eat too many raw, or they may give you a belly ache. Get some water boiling in a big pot. Throw all the pods in. Boil the pods for 5-7 minutes. Drain them. Put them in a serving dish, shake on some salt and pepper and stir.

For frozen edamame in the pod, the easiest way to fix them is simply pour them in a serving dish and microwave for 3-4 minutes. Add seasonings and serve.

When eating them, hold each end of the pod with your thumb and in index finger up, with the middle of the pod up to your lips. Squeeze, and you'll find that the beans pop into your mouth. They are very tasty!

Toss them, pod and all, into boiling salted water for about 5 minutes. They will turn bright green. You can pop the beans out of the pod after they are cooked. Taste is delicious! ADD SALT for supreme goodness!

You can microwave it if it comes in a microwave safe container, or boil some water and throw it in there. Sprinkle liberally with kosher salt and pop the seeds right out. It is a delicious and healthy snack or appetizer.

Boil for a few minutes (3-5) then salt heavily (kosher salt is best)

No prep is required. They're best cold. Just clean them, pop the beans out of the pod and eat them. Salt optional.
