Or is it more my own issue that I feel weird about it and should I do it just as I would for a friend?

I don't think he should have asked you that. He should have asked you for a lift instead.

Yeah. You don't loan your car to anyone...especially if you've only known them a month.

You're responsible for any tickets...accidents...and if he steals it, you're really SOL.

I wouldn't do it. Let him borrow one of his friends cars.

just tell him you never loan your car because it is to much of a liability, period. I never do and I am 60 years old

first, i wouldnt loan out your car. if he is not on your insurance you will be responsible for any accidents he has. tickets are his own reponsiblity but accidents are not.
