Nun's practice chastity, poverty, and obedience.
They are taught that masturbation is a sin. Since they have been taught this, it is a venial sin if they do masturbate; should they be weak and do this, well, they go to confession for forgiveness and strenght not to do it again. However, most holy people really strive to be saintly, and I would guess that most nuns just don't do this.

Im sure they do, being a nun does not make you solid as a rock, they also got fealings and those include sexual needs...they are also humans like anyone of us, the only difference is that they dedicate their life to GOD...

well they are married to god aren't they? and if god lives in everyone then when they masturbate its kind of like having sex with god or their husband or whatever. i don't know did that make any since?
