don't listen to all the haters, you date whomever you want regardless of age, you said date , not marry, if you are dating someone who is 26 (or whatever age you choose) and having fun, the hell with other peoples opinion. when it comes to marriage , you have to be a little more realistic about where you expect to be 10 or 20 years from now. but you decide what feels best for you and everyone else can choose whats best for them. and I am sure you won't stand in their way.

Some people have rules about this 4-6 years is the norm the idea and believe it or not people actually work this out is that someone 18 needs to experiece things with people there own age who are gogin through the same things they are and in this country at 18 you are probably getting out of hisghschool gogint o colege and or starting a career. After you get into your early to mid 20's age should matter very little.

You are 18. Legally you can date anyone you want. If you like a person and there is a mutual attraction, I say go for it no matter how old he/she is. Just be prepared for what comes alons with the age difference.

Bo Derick was 24 years younger than her husband John. Yet they were very happily married for over 20 years. Or you can choose someone close to your age that may not be very mature at all and your relationship might just fizzle within days.

Go with your heart and remember age is just a number.

Its up to you.

If you love the person you are free to make your own choice.

My cousin was 16 aqnd started dating a 25 year old. When I was 17 I dated a 24 year old girl. Age has no real bearing on a relationship unless its heading into pedophillia.
