Most of the dogs that I have been around eat grass due to an upset stomach. Some of them eat grass just to eat it. My Boston does not eat it when he is sick, he just runs it through his teeth like floss.

Grass settles a dogs stomach. When the stomach hurts they eat grass. Don't worry about it. It won't do anything.

dogs eat grass because a chemical in the grass settles their stomach from dog food. Believe it or not animals should eat canned food more than bagged food because its healthier for them

They may require micronutrients that they just don't get from their regular diet, or may instinctively eat it for the roughage they don't get from meat-based foods. Or they just like the taste. Dogs often don't need a reason to eat something; often the fact of its existence is enough to make a dog want to chew it... which is why they eat things that are a lot less savory than grass.

vets have multiple theories involving grass eating. One is to settle the stomach. Another is because grass contains something that a dog's diet lacks when domesticated. Others say to force vomiting because they do not feel good. I think it is because dogs are dumb, but GOD BLESS THEM and I LOVE THEM

It might be an old wives tale, but I've always heard that when a dog eats grass, it's because he's trying to make himself vomit because there's something in his stomach that he doesn't like.
