Light blues and greens. Thin curtains. Big, squishy pillows. Anything that calms you down.

Use candles and a maybe a little waterfall. Get fresh flowers in colors that you like in a couple of vases. If you paint the room use a color that makes you feel relaxed, generally blues, greens and greys are used for this purpose. Reds, oranges and yellows would be too stimulating and should only be used for accents

I have heard that pink is a calming color...it is used in prisons to keep inmates calm...just what I've heard!

Personally, I think when choosing a color for any room, you must consider which direction your window(s) face. We had a soft, light blue bedroom when we moved into our home. But it didn't feel relaxing to me! Finally I realized that it was because the window faces NORTH...no direct sunlight. So it was visually too cold. We painted it a buttery yellow and I think it is very relaxing now.

Have fun!

I like grey-green colours with off-white trim. They are fresh but relaxing at the same time, very mellow. Try benjaminmoore.com or lowes.com and use their "Paint Visualizer".

I like lots of plants (mostly real, some fake) to make a room relaxing.

And incorporate as much real wood as possible - like wood furniture, as opposed to painted or metal.
