Well if u love that person for who they are then it doesnt matter whether they gain weight or not. Just picture it. If a female gets pregnant and gains all that weight they would hope that their partner would still love them. (yes they do have a reason) But some men dont look at it that way. So no matter if its female or male, just love them no matter what because u wouldnt want them to just up and leave you.

i have this problem... my bf has gained 20-30 lbs in the past 3 MONTHS!!!! i don't think there's anything wrong with wanting your sig other to look their best..esp if you care about your own appearance. however if u dump someone or are embarrased to be seen w/ them, etc, that may be on the superficial side.
try to encourage exercising together, and that being overweight is just not good for your health. also, i think you have your WHOLE lives to be fat (like when you're older and metabolism slows)...so it's best to take care of yourself when you're young (there's only so long before wearing a bikini is not a good idea, regardless of size =T)

I would tell him nicely that he needs to lose some weight for health reasons, I would suggest some physical activities that we can do together and I would prepare healthy meals for him. Unless you started dating your boyfriend or girlfriend when they were fat, it's not fair to gain weight and expect your partner to love you and be attracted to you the same way.

She is more a friend/ex-gf...but we hang out alot still...she used to be into the fitness thing, but has taken a second job and isn't eating right and its starting to show...I find it hasn't changed our friendship any but it also has made me less attracted to her...for me the half of it is looks...she doesn't hold extra weight well...the other its an appreciation/turn-on for a person to take such good care of them self.

Oh please with all the "i'd love him/her anyways" answers.....yes, i'd still love them/but in all reality you still need to be physically attracted to the person right? If they are fat and not taking care of them self then maybe give them some encouragement to change. Excerise together, diet together, have lots of sex that burns calories.......LOL!!!!

Depending on the relationship and how i felt about that person. If it is a deep and caring love, i would encourage that individual to loose weight.

I would say it joking that he chubbs or something. Something to point it out, but that I still love him. In my relationship I would be able to tell him that and he would get the point and not be all hurt with me. I guess it really depends on how you both get along and communicate.

well, if u still love them and they still love you, then their weight shouldn't affect your relationship unless it got serious like high blood pressure or extreme loss of energy..then you should worry, but either way you should tell him/her how you feel about their weight.....especially because a relationship is mostly based on honesty.
