Why are people in america so racist with other americans who choose to be muslim?

Because they choose to be puppets in this game called LIFE. They let the American Media shove their hands up their butts and do whatever the media tells them to do.
America is a so-called "free" country but it really isn't. No one is free here; they are all brainwashed from a young age to be super patriotic, which is not healthy in my opinion. Loving your country is one thing but become condescending towards others in the process is destructive.
The news is one major culprit in this game. They dramatize things to such unimaginable lengths. They exaggerate a lot of what is really going on just to get more viewers interested. Shame. This world is full of lies. If we don't analyze and reconsider things before absorbing them as fact, we can still get the true meaning of living in this nasty world. If you sit there and get spoon-fed by the media, then you are screwed and totally controlled by the Government. The biggest problem is the most people rely on the TV/internet as their main source of information. It's their window to the outside world. Whatever the these mediums project is what people will start to believe. Not too many people have enough money to fly around country to country to see what is really happening there. We dont see the other side of the stories. How do we know the truth??

I remember soon after 9/11, a famous Canadian news station (CTV) aired images of what was supposedly showing Muslims celebrating the destruction done in NY in the streets of Middle Eastern countries. Soon after however, they were exposed. There was public outcry as those images were actually prerecorded clips from MONTHS back. The clips were originally used in the news to show the start of a new Muslim year and how it was celebrated! Now please explain what that was all about, for those who don't believe me.

My ADVICE: Think twice before you believe something!

Its is very ignorant of you to believe everything you hear. It is absolutely forbidded in Islam to mutilate any part of the body of ANYONE. No Muslim daughters are mutilated whatsoever. You may have heard of people doing that in Africa but that may be their CULTURAL tradition, not the the practice of RELIGION. If they claim it was religion, then they are as ignorant as yourself. As for the other stuff you said, it's the same problem. A lot of people mix and confuse CULTURE with RELIGION. Those are two separate things and the Religion of Islam does not teach people to kill others because of some offensive remarks or drawings. For those who did it, they dont know their religion well. Just like there are Imperfect Christians who kill/drown their kids claiming that God told them to do so, and all the other crimes they may commit in the name of religion, there are imperfect Muslims that dont know what the true religion asks of them. That is a human flaw not a religious flaw.

I love all Muslims enough to confront them with the inconsistencies and false prophesies of the Prophet Mohammed. I am not a racist or hater at all. The question should be: when you challenge and show definatively that Isam is a false religion based on false prophecies why do not the Muslims repent and come to saving knowledge.

It is easy to show that Mohammed is a false prophet in that he said not land ever conquered by Islam would ever revert to the control of other religions. India, Spain and Israel all stand as clear witness this is not a true prophesy.

Judges 8:21-24 shows clearly in the Hebrew that the ornament on the camels and the earings of the men were crescent moon idols just as appears today on the minurets of the Islamic Mosque showing Ishmaelites worship the same god in Islam today as they always did.

To start off not all Americans are like that. I for one do not care what religion you are as long as you are a good person. The problem is two fold. Unfortunately after 9/11 and the acts of "Fanatics" has caused some of these feelings towards Muslims. On the other hand most people fear what they don't understand. Most will not admit to that. As far as religion goes this type of ignorance has gone on for years. The Christians denounce the Pagans and so forth.

Not all people in America are. I'm not. The only thing I don't agree with is how Muslim women are treated. But then again, I don't know much about the Muslim religion. However, I've met some really nice and interesting Muslim people.

Muslim is a race, and you can't change that. If you mean Islam, which a religion, people dislike it because it is a branch of religion that directly forks from the "traditional American" Christianity. It's sort of like the unwanted half-brother.

Americans in general just have low tolerance for anyone that is different of believes something that they don't. The fact that most people rarely encounter Islamic Muslims on a regular basis means that they don't have any real life experience to base their judgement on.

People see the TV images of these wild religious zeaolots and are just to ignorant to realize that this is not the norm.

You people talking trash on muslims are either in junior high or just plain stupid. Has anyone one of you ever heard of individualism? You can't just bunch one group together and say they are all the same. Ever individual has their own mind. I'm an Atheist American myself but I respect all religion and races because in every culture, religion, etc. there are the good and the bad. Just because the evil, radical muslims are the only ones portrayed in the media, don't think that they are all like this. It's time people stop discriminating and see each person as an individual.

I see a cartoon of my president, and it makes me laugh. I think that's probably true of most Americans. Of course, he asked for it.
I see people make fun of my religion, and I sigh. I don't go out and kill them, I don't even torture them.
I've never clubbed anyone to death over a pig. I don't know any other Americans who have done that either.
I haven't heard of any Muslims in America being tortured, beaten, or beheaded.
I don't know of any Americans who are not Muslim who think mutilating their daughters in order to keep them from enjoying sex is a good way to ensure a faithful wife.
Here in America, if a man abuses or kills his wife or his daughters, we call it a crime and punish him for it. We don't march disobedient women into a field and shoot them down like animals.
So, I wonder...who is actually the "racist" here?

Because people cant seem to seperate the difference from terrorism and muslim. People are scared and dont take into account that just because people are muslim it doesnt mean that they are terrorists. Its sad but true. Terrorists are scaring people all over the world with their recent uproar. Nobody knows where they are going to strike next, or who they are except a few of the big names like BinLadin.

I don't and I see them all the time.

I just some saw some wearing their customary garb in my grocery store the other day and nobody ran out screaming and they were treated just like any other customer.

I think it has to do with the fact that, the whole region where that religion is based, hates americans. So if your over here & your ancestors are from there, don't expect everyone to greet you nicely. They are going to be afriad of you. Those people who blew up the trade towers, they were normal looking just like everyone else. This is why americans don't trust anyone that looks or acts or believs that way.
