No, you cannot do that. You can view a Microsoft Powerpoint run-time presentation (if the creator of the presentation decides to do that) with actually having Microsoft Powerpoint on your computer. However, you cannot create a powerpoint presentation without the actual software.

I think Dane_62 covered what you are looking for but here are a couple more options for you as well. Many public libraries offer free use of PowerPoint on their computers. If you are a student, take advantage of the computer lab at your school and if you are doing this for work, your network administrator may have guidelines for allowing employees to use certain software at home or for connecting to your work computer from home.

Not to be hateful but the point of doing powerpoints is to have powerpoint.
The only way to do it is to purchase powerpoints.
Sorry
But you have to come off some $$$

You know at first your question sounds really dumb but then I realize what you mean is you want to make a power point compatible slide show with a program that isn't power point.
There are two great apps that can do this
http://www.openoffice.org/
http://www.thinkfree.com/common/main.tfo
Open office is a bit better, but you install just like an other office quite
Think fee allows you to use the applications On-line without installing them your computer
Most important Both are free.
