Shouldn't they be more concerned over terrorists crossing the border and why this situation has not been rectified almost 5 years after 911?

should you be concern that our State benefits are running out of money. Our schools can not handle the overload. Hospitals are closing and people are dying because they can't afford health care and our not qualified for programs--the list goes on. Get educated. It is hurting many here.

We are concerned with both. Terrorists have crossed our southern border. Some of that was in the testimony for the House hearings. Also, though, 12 to 20 million illegal immigrants has a huge negative impact on our education and other services. It is a shame their countries don't provide universal education, and of course if our government lets them come they will with that situation. However it means that our own children no longer can get a decent education, our sick can no longer get affordable health care, and our poor do not have adequate access to the services we pay for for our people.
That is not fair. That is why we limit how many poor immigrants can come. People who come illegally are stealing those services. We are footing the bill, but our children are paying the real price.
Their better life is at our expense.

I agree with you on this. I"m not really concerned with the mexicans, although I feel that they should do things illegally. But if they can just waltz across the border, then who knows how many terrorists are in the US already? It it was up to me, I'd have a wall like they have in China.....but this is just my opinion. I have no problem against any mexican, as long as they do things legally, then I'd be the first one to welcome them to the USA.

Eh? Well you see ... if we don't secure our borders, which indeed should've been done immediately after 9/11, we don't know who's coming across .... so of course we're concerned about ANYBODY who crosses the border illegally ... Mexicans or non-Mexicans ... you do know, don't you, that Al Quaida is looking with interest at our wide open border policy ... how do we know they haven't crossed the border already?? YOU don't know ... and I don't know ....

It's becuse they suck the healthcare system dry after they get through the border. I've got a "special" child with multiple disabilities, so as far as I'm concerned, this is PERSONAL. No green card, no free goodies!

I don't know where you are from but most states do have problems with illegals. They use hospitals, schools, medical facilities paid for with tax dollars. If you don't know why your health insurance and other things costs keep rising, just read into things such as what it is costing us taxpayers a fortune for the things they are using that you pay taxes for and they don't.

i work as a healthcare provider in the state of california..and illegal aliens cannot receive any healt or federal benefits..it's a mith that they drain the system....without proper identification they cannot get any ''freebies''
people who say illegals drain the economy dont know the real situation they just listen to bigots on talk radio and believe everything they are told...like puppets..

I am concerned about EVERYONE sneaking across the border!!! This is just one MORE reason we need to KNOW who and what is coming into this country!!!!!

dont mexico see they are the bums of the western hemisphere they are the absolute bums of the west they cant keep their own country in line and when their own government wont take care of them instead of standing their ground they run and expect the americans to accomadate them in turn hurting america once they have depleted americas system theyll run up into canada wanting them to do the same take care of your own business in your own homeland dont bring your problems to a country that doesnt want them
