I had Louis Armstrong "What a Wonderful World". The others seemed too cliche and cheesey for my father and I

if I had a father daughter dance at my wedding I would have wanted butterfly kisses by bob carlilse, in my daughter's eyes or brown eyed girl.

My father passed away just after I turned 17 and I didn't get married until 2 weeks after I turned 23.

I danced with my father to "When You Say Nothing At All" by Alison Krauss. It's not really about fathers and daughters but he really likes Alison Krauss so it meant more. You should think about the kind of music that your dad likes and choose something that would suit him.

errr...i hate butterfly kisses...its such a cheesy song. i picked because you loved me. the words really meant somethign to my father and i. butterfly kisses tells like a story that probably doesnt fit anyones life and relationship with their father. thats why i hate it so much for weddings. try asking your dad what he likes. is there a song maybe you danced to when you were little? or a song that he really likes that reminds him of you?

At my wedding, my dad and I danced to "Sleepwalker" by Santos and Johnny. It is an instrumental piece. It is the song at the end of La Bamba when richie valen dies.
I love it!!!

if you have brown eyes then the song Brown Eyed Girl by Van Morrison works. But if you don't then the song Because You Love Me by Celine Dion is the best.

A parents prayer is amazing. It works for father/daughter and mother/son. Probably won't be a dry eye around.

Enjoy your night.
