Toyota and Nissan by far. They will last for ever if you take care of them. Less break downs and less expensive when you do have problems. This came from my mechanic. I have driven both for the last 15 years and my last Nissan car that I gave to my nephew had 300.000 miles on it. Other than breaks, tires oil changes and 1 tune up, I spent less than $400 total in repairs in the 10 years that I owned it and he has spent $0 since I gave it to him last Thanksgiving Day. You be the judge

No pontiac, that's for sure. You will be much better off in the long run with a Honda or a Toyota. Hondas have a great reputation. Both companies have been making these models for years and have had loads of time to work out the bugs. I am not sure about Toyotas, but I know that Honda is concerned about emissions from cars and that they are more environmentally friendly than most. You can even get a hybrid. Congrats on your new car!

I would say go for the two door accord, it would last you long. I would recommend as a second option the celica just because it not in production anymore meaning it would be hard to find parts later on. The pontiac G6 in the other hand wont last you long. Good luck ;)

Honda Accord. I'm on my 3rd in 22 years, have never had a major repair, and it still looks great even after 7 Vermont winters.
