For all of you out there, nail clippers are fine going through security, second the x-ray doesn't alarm, the person sitting there is the one who decides if the bag is ok, and next no lighters or any type of knife as some think, stop telling people it's ok.

Well I guess that Sacramento isn't following their SOP, are they even with TSA, their are some airports that are still private, anyway if I'm so wrong on nail clippers and shoes why don't you look it up on tsa.gov or even challenge them when they take them, tell them to look in their SOP, as far as shoes you do not have to take them off it is recommended and children under 12 do not once again look on tsa.gov or challenge them.

Nail clippers are not fine. In Sacramento, they are confiscated.
Dont assume that everyone working for the TSA is using the same measuring stick when deciding what they will and will not allow through.
All persons must remove their shoes and run them through the X-Ray, regardless of what type of shoe it is, or wether it is a man, woman, or child.

i have in my opinion witnessed a TSA agent confiscate a regular's roll of commander's funds from the final himself. regardless of his protestations the energetic-duty regular, travelling on respectable company, became unable to get the agent to go back his funds.
