i'm very astonished from some answers here .... what innocent israili people facing terrorism ? who are the trorrist ? the owner of the house or the introder ? what anti - seminest ? first of all , arabs are seminests . second when israil occupy the palastinian lands , make a proplem of 2 million palastinian refugee who are still refugees till now , so who is the terrorist ? tell me ?

don't you ever compare the istablishment of israel with the istablishment of america , because : when america was istablished, there was no international law that prevents countries from either war or occuping other countries , BUT , when israel istablished at 1948 , it was after the istablishment of the united nations , which charter approved by all civilized nations in the whole planet , and it was approved that war is prohipited , billigerant occupation of any territory is refused and forbidden , no matter how the invading forces call it ... so the istablishment of israel was illigal , the way it was istablished by was by terrorising arab palastinians poor villigers to either sell or run away from their lands untill the zionists got a land big enough to istablish a country

after istablishment (illigal) they got more palastinian lands by war in 1948 , 1956 wars

then at 1967 war , israel occupied jerosalem for the first time (illigaly too) and took new lands from its neighbours this time ( Egypt , Syria , Lebanon and Jordan) and as they used to they started to build there settlments and get their civilians to settle down at those new lands ( it was proved illigal by the security councel resolutions no 424 , 338 ) ( even USA the only blind supporter to israel couldent veto those resolutions because the situation was opvious )

until now they are occupying the golan hights (about thierd syria , and they were pulled back from south lebanon by the continuos strikes by Hizbullah ( the terrorist as THEY call him and anyone stand for them ) )

innocent? arent the arab soles are innocent too ? when killing is happened by air raid it's ok , heroic , but when the one who have no weapons to defend himself , sacrifise his own life , and kill himself in the enemy it considered a terrorism , am i right ?

Israel is defending itself.

The state of Israel was legally created out of the dismemberment of the Ottoman Empire at the end of World War I. The area was desolate, desert and swamp, with some small towns and a few inhabitants, many of them nomads. The inhabitants considered themselves mostly Syrian. The Balfour Declaration issued by the British, who were given the mandate over the area by the League of Nations. Jews have lived in the country since Biblical times. The Arabs from the surrounding areas were lured to "Palestine" by the industry and prosperity that the Jews brought to the region. Envy, hatred and religious fanaticism turned the Arabs against the Jews. In 1947, under pressure, the British resigned their mandate. The same year, the United Nations mandated partioning of the territory. The Jews, though disappointed, accepted the partition. The Arabs rejected it and launched war against Israel. The armies of five Arab countries invaded. Following the exhortations of the invaders, the Arab residents got out of the way hoping to return after victory was attained. They could then reclaim their property and that of the Jews, all of whom would have been killed or would have fled. Israel won. That and that alone is the source of the Palastinian "refugees". Had the Arabs accepted the UN partition plan, there would now have been a state of "Palestine" for the last 58 years. The might have attained a similar level of prosperity, advancement and development as Israel. 50% of Israel's population now includes refugees from Morocco, Algeria, Iraq and Yemen. All were accepted by Israel with open arms and have become successful members of their society. The Palestinians refused to integrate these refugees into their population and instead confined them to "refugee camps". The ones there are now fourth generation and through no fault of Israel.

Hey, here's an idea, why don't the Arabs get these 4th generation refugees and incorporate them into their society? 4th GENERATION?!? That would never happen in a developed nation, including Israel. It shows how incompetant the Palestinians are.

It doesn't. It is self defense. If Israel let its guard down for a moment, its people would be massacred. This is largely anti-Semitism.

People keep saying that the Israelis stole the land from the Palestinians, but Palestine isn't and never has been a nation or state. The Jewish people have lived in that area for thousands of years but have been oppressed for millennia.

This really is a complicated issue. It is impossible break through all of the propaganda and find an unbiased history of the Palestinian/Israeli conflict, so I cannot make conclusion on whose fault it really is.

Both sides have their faults, but it is the Palestinians who are prolonging the conflict.
