I know I need to become an RN and trust me working full time and going to school is difficult now but for now it works as I am only in my prerequisites. But while in nursing program is there a path or study I will need to become a Neonatal Nurse??

Unless you get to a masters level there is no picking what field you want to do in school. You take all the courses and pass your NCLEX and try to get a job working in the area you like. You might not be able to start there, maybe you have to starts in Peds or labor and delivery. Take inservices at work that are about the area you want to get into and look for openings to be posted in that area.

I don't think there's any extra certification or anything, I think it is just a matter of getting into one of those departments and getting the experience.
