If you've lost your faith in god, it's probably because you never had faith in him to begin with. I went to church all the way up through high school and wanted to believe what everyone else did. But it just wasn't me. When I gave myself the chance to break free and get in touch with who I really was and what I believed, I was happy and content in my belief structure. In the end, you are what you are. And if you don't have faith, then you don't have faith. Roll with the punches. Maybe you'll find your way back to god or not, but you can't make yourself go one way or the other.

Faith inside the human being is not an absolute thing. It ebbs and flows. Or maybe it's our feelings towards our faith that ebb and flow.

I don't know if I've ever completely lost my faith in God, although I had my intellectual doubts as a teenager. I was "born-again" at age 22. I'm 49 now. Although I've never totally lost my faith, there have been times, and are times, when I am angry at God, disgusted with religion, or disappointed in church. Not to mention angry at, disgusted with, or disappointed in myself.

The key is knowing, or believing, that God is going to carry you through no matter what. Perserverance isn't necessarily trying to do right all the time (and you won't; you're human), but continuing to believe and trust that God has you in the palm of your hand and will carry you through to the end.

It is possible to lose your faith. Everyone is capable. I usually start with watching a christian program on TV and listen very carefully to what the speaker is saying.
When you get bummed out and lose faith, it usually means your soul is hungry for the Word of God and you need a boost in your spirit. Times like that, when you feel the furthest away from God are the times you grow to become closer to Him.

I have never lost my faith in God - but I do in people - I just thank God for not loosing patience in us! The mistake many folks make is not recognizing that life is in motion and things happen - some good and some bad - individuals are to continue to live their lives in accordance with God's will - that is not a guarantee that bad stuff won't happen to them - but by keeping God in our live we have someone to go to for comfort when bad things do happen - so many folks want to blame God and declare He doesn't exist when things go badly - God is God - our salvation for the life after this one - Life is life and we get through it as best we can and have faith in a hereafter - where the trials of this life don't exist - as hard as this life is why would you not cling to the belief that there is a promise of something greater and better afterwards - Don't loose faith in the Lord - proclaim His name to the highest - live each day doing His will - and when you have completed this journey look forward to a home in Heaven - where there is not pain or suffering or loss - Good Luck and God Bless!

You want my advice? Don't. I don't know if I would describe it as "losing faith". I lost faith in god the same way you lose faith in santa, or the tooth fairy, one day you just figure out that it can't be true. You really can build a better life off of that than you could before, if you're strong enough.

Not me, but I can see by many responses that people have lost faith in men, not necessarily God.

They have grown to dislike God as he is represented by many religions today and the false teachings that come out of them.

When you find the truth about God, you will have faith and not lose it, because you will be unable to turn back to what you thought before, it would be as appealing as a dog returning to it's vomit, dogs may do it, but we never would... would we.

I'm disgusted by the religions today, but fortunately I found what I believe to be the true religion, so my faith is strong.

I lost my faith in God once...

I wanted to borrow the car, and Dad was like... "Son... just because you're the worlds Salvation doesn't mean you can bring the car home with an empty tank every night. Until you learn to gas her up on the way home, you're out of luck."

I was really bummed... but then I turned my urine into petroleum and wizzed a half a tank of gas, and he forgave me.

I NEVER lost my faith in God.

I however lost my faith in his so-called office here.

I found that dialing direct has more of an impact.

The Church - controls - stifles nad does nothing more than to make me feel bad about myself.

I don't think God is such a micromanaging, vindictive, jealous, possesive, egomanical but Benevelonet creator that will smack you at his whim.

If you can define Love - then you have found God is.

I've struggled with it before I was a traditional Catholic. When I converted, God blessed me with a great faith which I pray I will never lose. Now that I know the truth, I don't see how I could possibly turn my back on it.
