i just bought an inversion table at a garage sale but it didn't come with instuctions on how it works. Does anyone know how an inversion table works or where i can get instructions. it is apparently not a brand name cause i can find no company name on it. The guy said workmans comp bought it for him. The only things i find on it are: Gravity Guiding System, American Orthopedic, and Doubletree Medical. i have tried to look these names up but have found nothing. i really want to use this table but can't until i find out how. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I suggest you look on the product and see if there is a contact number for the manufacturer. Chances are they can send you more instructions.

I've used on once, trying it out. The one I used buckled the feet in at the bottom. You use your arms to tilt back. You can also lean all the way upside down, but I recommend having a spotter there before you attempt that.

Here is a URL that shows some of the exercises used on the inversion table. It shows you the table in use. Just take things slow. Also I've seen the inversion table on infomercials.

All it is, is a way to hang either completely upside down, or partially to release the pressure on the spine. Don't do it too long and work up (or down should I say) slowly as there is always a chance for a brain aneurysm or stroke if you do too much too fast.
