you just grew apart. once you have been together for a while things come up that you never noticed before that now annoy you. these things will grow on you. there are also going to be things that you don't want to do together anymore that you may have really liked to do in the past. all things happen for a reason no matter how hard that may be to realize.

The nature of love is like burning a candle at both ends.
It's fed by passion, and the nature of passion is often capricious, and it tends toward whims, following and then abandoning them with a quickness that we humans can hardly understand.
If passion can only but hold interest a little while, then Love as it's own entity, can only burn so bright for long, before going out.
To make love last, it can't be expected to carry it's own. You need friendship, trust, honestly, laughter and commonality. These things will make any love stronger, giving it a chance to thrive. Maturity helps too...

Because "love" that doesn't last is a feeling. True love is an attitude, a conscious act, and a commitment. The cliché goes "Remember that love is a verb!" If you're only relying on what feels good and what makes you happy, then love won't last. If you make a decision and a commitment to strive for mutual happiness for the rest of your lives, then you have fighting chance of seeing a lasting love.

Love does last if it is pure. Only the love for humang beings in general can be cultivated. Love based on feelings is not true and will not last because it will depend on conditions. When you have true love in your heart you can give to others and it does't matter what you receive back you can still feel the love for others. Remember humans react to sensations and nowadays, morals are not the same as years before so people are less interested in true relationships than physical sensations.

because it wasn't love. If it was, it would. The purest thing in the world is love :friendship, or lovers you know... The thing that makes it not lasting it's just because it's not love that you've met but a flirt, a joy for some days/years/hours/months etc... don't feel upset or anthing about this because the truth is... love happens when you feel that it's not coming... so.. don't worry too much about lasting thing especially when it comes to love.

there are two kinds of love; Eros love - which is erotic and passionate and usually not very deep. and there is Agape love - which can also be erotic and passionate but is from the depths of the soul which takes a more mature person to realize its there. when we realize its there, it usually lasts longer that Eros love. with Agape love, sometimes the passion is not as strong as at other times and knowing you love and are loved helps you get through those times. when you find a person who shares the same values and likes as you, you will be able to hang in there with more love and compassion even if thru the times there are not much fireworks,

It does if its the right kind of love i have been married twice the first was only 2 yrs the second has been 19 if its real hun it will last.But dont think there are never bad or rocky times there is you just make it threw them and your love will become stronger

You'll learn in physiology that it is pharamones and hormones that maturally wear off over time with the same person, because the body doesn't naturally copnstantly try to attract anymore and people always have on a mask. They can wear it for years b4 you know what you have.

Love is an emotion and emotions are transient.
You have to keep working at it to build an even deeper bond and to maintain those feelings of love otherwise they'll fall by the wayside.
It's like anything, if you don't pay attention to it and work on it, it'll become stale and boring.

I think it does if you are in love. I believe even if things do not work out and you were in love you will still feel for that person. It is not something you get over very fast.
