My cat wags her tail just like a dog does. It usually means she's excited. Pretty much the same as a dog.

When one of my cats wags a tail, it normally means they're annoyed with something. The faster and more wide-spread the wag, the more annoyed they are.

Mad, angry, adgitated, annoyed.
The harder the thump of the tail the more mad the cat is. It more or less means....back up or you are gonna get some of my claws.
If hissing and spitting starts with the tail wagging then the cat is beyond mad and could actually cause itself to go into shock and die.
