Or, if it turns out that there is no God, would it be ok that we wiped ourselves out of existence in the next 50 years?
The options are numerous:
1. Nuclear holocaust
2. Weaponized smallpox (an engineered virus with a 100% contagion and kill ratio)
3. Environmental collapse brought on by our destabilizing the cycle of global warming and cooling.
4. Environmental collapse brought on by destruction of the upper atmospheric ozone layer though use of chemicals such as CFCs such that plantlife (our oxyen supply) is killed by increased ultraviolet light exposure.
5. Any combination of the above, which is very likely to happen if #3 or #4 is true.

So... in ruining the earth we deserve to get hit by nuclear holocaust and weaponized smallpox? I can see how that logic might work, but I also see how that still wouldn't prove there is a God. Being agnostic, I want the best of all answers that balances maybe God against maybe no God. You know, just to make sure all your Pascal's Wagers are covered...

Whoa! That's deep Bibleman! I'll have to remember that one for when the rest of the world declares war on the US for doing more environmental damage than any other country in the world. So it's actually prophecy in the Bible... So... Does it say which country we should move to if we don't want to get nuked?

Galatians 5:21 - Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

It won't get that far. God will bring to ruin those ruining the earth. God will soon send his Son to rid this earth of all wickedness, he will not allow it to be destroyed as He did not create it simply for nothing but even to be inhabited, and the earth will never be made to totter it will stand to times indefinite even forever, and as long as there are seasons, seed sowing and harvest will be in the earth.

Simply put - yes if you believe there is no God - then there would be no ramifications for doing what you did. I believe that there is a God, and I believe there would be ramifications for what you did - however I'm not the one to dish out or determine what punishment (if any) there would be - as God is the judge. :)

This is the concern about free will. God should not intervene, as it is up to us to do what is needed to lead the life he placed before us.

He is not happy with us destroying his creation; in fact he is going to put a stop to it soon:
"And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest DESTROY THEM WHICH DESTROY THE EARTH."
