As more and more states work on/pass legislation to 'turn off the magnet', what's your position on illegal immigration, specifically from Mexico?

I do not like illegal immigration from any where. They do take jobs Americans can and will do. There are many different factors for my dis like of border jumping. Diseases that have not been in the US are now present around the southern border. People are walking around with no way to identify them. Weather the "obey" the law or are killers. We need to know who they are for the safety of the American public. I am not saying it is just illegals doing this. But some do. There is a bad apple in every group. The public school system is in trouble. Children to illegals are going to school when the parents are NOT paying taxes. Hospitals are burdened by bills by illegals. No one is paying for this medical treatment they are getting.

Absolutely. Mexico is a country. It can't be anywhere BUT where it is, it can't leave home, so it can't GO home.

"MEXICANS" on the other hand, can go away and then go home. However, all of this illegal immigration crap is so far down the list of what SHOULD be important in this country right now as to be laughable.

Consider, we have flags to protect and gay relationships to ban. Wars to pursue with countries that were no threat to us.

And I hear that some rich person the next town over actually paid a few bucks in taxes last year, that can't be allowed to happen.

Illegal immigration should be and could be put to rest rather easily, by making temporary work permits a possibility. I work in the food industry, and quite literally Americans do not want immigrant workers to go away, they just don't know it. But they'll find out if we boot them all out and build a wall on the border. The next time they visit the grocery store and a lb. of ground beef costs them twenty bucks, or tomatoes cost $12.50 a lb. they'll see that migrant workers are an important part of our economy.

Americans want to end illegal immigration, and rightfully so. It is a burden to our society and a costly venture for the American Federal/State governments. But migrant workers work harder for less money than domestic workers, and if given the opportunity to do so legally, it would end border jumping and make patrolling the border for drugs and terrorists much easier. It would also making tracking of the migrant population and low level taxation of them possible.

well, seeing as how 11 million illegal immigrants are currently here with the number ever growing. It's almost as if mexico is that annoying friend of yours that always comes over, stays all day, eats all your food, leaves a mess, and wont leave. You want them to leave but cant really find a nice way to say it lol.

Yes I find fault with the phrase. Your phrase is incorrect - it should be written as "Mexicans need to go home!"

Mexico is a country and as a country it can not "go home".

I am descended from immigrants (LEGAL immigrants) when my grandfather came over from the old country he LEARENED to SPEAK and WRITE ENGLISH. I know it is a novel concept in the 2000’s but if someone from another country wants to live here they need to apply for citizenship, learn our language and contribute to society not cause a drain on it. Our economy will not collapse if we remove a few million illegals....

Booboo said - "My husband is from Mexico, illegally. He is home. Here with me."

To Booboo I say WTF? - Have him become a citizen of get him out!

I believe that anyone who wants to come to the US to live should be able to, IF they go through the proper channels to do so. Illegal immigrants come to this country, take jobs from citizens or legal immigrants and pay no taxes. They also reap other benefits, like welfare and food stamps. If they want to live in America, get a skill and a green card first.

Again,I support some illegals.Actually,I support all that are decent family ppl who work hard every day and take care of their kids. No,I don't support amnesty, but I feel that INS needs to relax some of their stiff fees and applications.Especially for people who have proof of living here for atleast 5yrs.I mean, ppl buying homes and cars aren't gonna up and leave any time soon.So why not make it a little easier for them?

My husband is from Mexico, illegally. He is home. Here with me.

Well yes. Mexico is a land mass south of the US. It never left home.
I would also find fault with the statement had you said Mexicans instead. If we are going to be of the opinion that one particular race should go home, then shouldn't we all pack our bags?

i think they should be sent home mexico is not a poor country they have enough to take care of their own but because of corruption they wont, so why should we foot the bill for corruption and for a group of people who will tell you themselves they are proud of mexico and love mexico .

yes. You may say "Mexicans need to go home" Because Mexico is right where it always was. But that would make you a jerk.
