The parables that Jesus gave were used as a teaching tool. He used standard cultural symbols at that time and mainstream items of familiarity to illistrate for His disciples a manner in which things would occur or become established. Most of these parables were prophetic. His goal was to edify and educate those that wanted to seek and find their way with His guidance. There was nothing satirical or parodic in His teaching. He was quite the origional. What you are doing has been done. There is nothing new or interesting about it. So while you didn't recieve the desired effect in your mockery of anothers faith system maybe its because your simple "parables" aren't as thought provoking, funny or insightful as you seem to be deluded into thinking that they are. Maybe take some lessons from the Master. Incite because you care not to mock or ridicule. Everything He did was for the benifit of those around Him so that they might be healed, forgiven and remain on the path to eternal life...He brought people up..you are "attempting" to bring them down. Where is the point in that? Christians don't translate the Parables of Christ. He explained the meaning to those that really wanted to know and had no fear of asking. What you are saying doesn't apply to this catagory...sorry for my brain-dead answer. If you want animated commentary try asking animated questions. Love in Christ, ~J~ <><

Actually your cat symbolism is painfully obvious and not particularly funny. It appears that most of those who responded thought you were so obvious that it didn't need commenting on. It looks like they were also trying hard to be funny, but this question indicates that you didn't get their sarcasm, or lame attempts at humor.
I bet I don't get chosen for best answer for this response.

Galatians 5:21 - Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

I've said this before;
If you feed a dog, and give it love, it will look up to you, as if you were it's god.
If you feed a cat, and give it love, it will look up to you, as if it were your god...
Fandamentalists are like parrots, that were taught to say, "Here kitty kitty..."
