i know italy does. i had some years ago without knowin it.apparently is very high in iron n i used to be aenemic. but just the thought of it really disgustes me : \

I have eaten horse in France and enjoyed cold cooked smoked horse in Finland.I am sure there are many other countries where this is common practise,but of which I have no first hand experience.

I think Japan is the largest consumer of American horse meat. After a mad cow scare years ago, they wouldn't allow American beef into their country, but horses were ok. Recently, they decided to allow American cattle into the country, again.

It's pretty big in Switzerland (although not something anyone would eat every day)...the horse you get here tends to come from Canada. (Although I've eaten horse in Canada.)

Some parts of Europe and Canada.I wouldn't eat it though.Horses can also get the mad cow disease.Not just cows.

France does. i mistook it for a beef steak when i was on a school trip there. I would never eat it again. but as i remember, it was quite nice.

italy eats horse meat is very expensive
i know they used to give it to their soldiers on the second world war....my granda experienced it he says its very tasty even though i would never eat it...no offence to anyone
