Can anyone tell me what this dream means? I was with my mom in a building i was never in before and some lady came at my mom with a knife. I picked one up that was on the the floor and shanked her in her stomach. She slowed down a little but kept coming at me so i kept stabing her. Then she took her knife and stabed my in my wrist. After that she left for a little bit. I remember thinking man i hope this ins't a dream. Then she came back twards me again but i picked up a knife my uncle got me for my 13th birthday and finally stabbed her in her chest until she died. Then i woke up. I know its really freaky can someone explain what this dream means?

I do recommend looking up some of the symbols in a dream dictionary (I've listed one).

However, don't ask others to determine the meaning of your dream. It's your dream, and your unconscious, so you're the one who needs to figure out the meaning. SOme people also don't believe that dreams mean anything (maybe you were watching Law & Order reruns last night and something on the TV influenced the dream).

If you decide to look up the meaning of the dream, however, think about what was the most significant about the dream (or what's stuck out the most) to see what the dictionary means. But, as someone else said, don't take it too literally.

You have assumed the role of protector for your mother's safety in this dream and the most significant thing in the whole scenario is the use of a knife associated with your 13 th birthday ( this is an associaation of you coming of age or coming to your manhood)----This dream simply put is you projecting your protectorate feelings for your mother against all comers even the ones of the deadliest kind--and you see it as a challenge of your manhood to see that all threats to her are eliminated

You found a knife on the floor (chance) and defended your mother...though you ended up fighting for YOUR life. The only way you put the issue to rest (ie. killed the attacker) is by using your family ties. You make the deductions with what's going on in your life.

I think you are watching far too much Reality & Medical based TV. Try not watching 1-2 hours before going to bed.

Your violence is a sign of disturbance deep within your subconscious. Either you were 'defending' your mom or killing her subconsciously because ideally no one wants to kill their mom, do they, ---or at least they don't like to admit it.
Victims of abuse often dream of violence. ......I t could be a good idea to talk to someone about it.

It means that you are trying to defend yourself from something in your life. What is that? Can you think of anything or anyone?
