I think it is idiotic to not tell the Turkish government to go to hell, storm mt arat and prove once and for all that the damn thing exists or doesn't - but in any case there is evidence of world wide flooding, yes, when the Laurentide ice sheet melted - was a helluva flood - but not like the bible says, more like the little wave that washed over indonesia a few months back, just about a thousand times worse.
Every culture in the world has a flood mytho - it is the most common mytho around. Easy enough to explain - humans need water - water in valley - EVERY valley floods sooner or later - people are idiots and think that their valley is the whole world (to them it is), so....the myth that the world was covered in a flood is true....from a certain perspective

I think we should discuss the Bible and what different passages mean. However; I decided when I became a Christian that I would believe everything written. I do not see how The Flood is more believeable than Johan in the great fish or more believeable than Jesus dying for our sins.

The story of noah is a myth, nothing more.
There is NO evidence of a worldwide flood. Every piece of "evidence" brought forth by creationists and young earth proponents is either wildly innacurate, or an outright fraud.

I read the first post. The Flood probably occurred in the area around the Black Sea.

Some people mistake proof of Continental Drift for proof of the Flood.
